We are looking for a skilled freelance typesetter who is willing to come in to our Swindon offices on an irregular occasional basis as our workload requires it.
We require someone completely fluent in QuarkXPress and InDesign with at least a working knowledge of Illustrator and Photoshop.
We are NOT looking for a creative designer or artworker! Nearly all our work is creating materials to follow an existing design so if you are looking for an outlet for your design skills then this is not for you.
Much of our work is high-volume and to short deadlines so we need someone quick efficient and accurate. Wed particularly like to hear with anyone who has an interest in typesetting automation systems as this is how we produce much of our work.
Please reply ONLY if you can answer yes to ALL of the following:
1) you are based within sensible travelling distance of Swindon UK
2) you are willing and generally available to work in-house on an irregular basis and at reasonably short notice
3) you are fluent in QuarkXPress and InDesign
4) you have done this before and can provide references we can contact
5) you understand that this is a PRODUCTION role where there is no opportunity for you to exercise your creative design skills.
