PixelMags require a Web Developer to assist in the development of web services and sites to support mobile applications. Our web services are written in PHP so a strong knowledge and experience of PHP is essential and experience with other languages (such as Ruby Java Python) and environments advantageous. The role includes the ongoing management and deployment of servers both managed and cloud services a working knowledge of UNIX/Linux operating systems Apache and MySQL is required. Other technologies used frequently and which the candidate should have a working knowledge of include: JSON HTTP XML REST XHTML CSS Javascript OpenSSL crypto keys and certificates
The successful applicant will possess a methodical and meticulous approach to software engineering both programming and process. Good communication skills are needed to meticulously document the process and work effectively with the small engineering team. This position would suit a recent graduate or college-leaver with some experience of web development technologies.
