We are looking for a fantabulous creative and energetic web designer to join our small motley crew of web geeks in Brighton.
We dont have pesky clients making ridiculous demands to worry about as all of our work is restricted to a handful of 2.0 web properties that we own and run ourselves. Our jewel in the crown being one of the most popular football sites on the net so if you have a passion for football thatd be a bonus.
Day to day tasks will include Photoshop/Fireworks design work GUI development and HTML/CSS Dreamweaver deployment. Ajax l33tery and Flash skills will definitely be an advantage and if you have basic PHP/SQL/Linux experience this will also get a thumbs up but is by no means crucial.
You will need to be buzzing with creativity have a good understanding of Web 2.0 concepts and be able to quickly craft erection-inducing pieces of HTML pulchritude from briefs that have been scribbled down in a frenzy on nothing more than a few lager stained beermats. An anally retentive attention to pixel-perfect detail will also be required.
Our offices are located in the North Laines next to the plastic aberration that is the Pavilion and were about as easy going and laid aback as is possible for a company to be without going bankrupt.
Were flexible with working hours - you can work on flexi-time and choose when to come and go provided your work gets done. And youre free to take breaks whenever you want You can even just sit out in our chill out area and play FIFA 10 on the PS3 with all the other slackers if doing actual work gets a little too much. There will be times off high stress deadlines which you will need to be able to cope with and may mean pulling a few late night shifts occasionally but the majority of your time will be punctuated with a relaxed almost Zen-like state of job satisfaction. Promise.
